CS Corporate has advised Factoría Baluard on a significant corporate deal with Carpathia Investments

CS Corporate Advisors has advised the owners of

Factoría Baluard in a corporate transaction with

Carpathia Investments.

Factoría Baluard is a bakery chain founded in 2006 by Anna Bellsolà, a businesswoman recognized for making one of the best breads in Barcelona.

In 2007, Baluard installed its first workshop on the street of the same name, in Barceloneta, which was followed by seven more establishments in the Catalan capital, most of them in Eixample.

The chain has three points of sale inside three El Corte Inglés centers in Barcelona and Cornellà de Llobregat, and recorded a turnover of more than 6 million euros in 2022.

Carpathia is an investment firm with offices in Madrid and Barcelona led by Miguel de Lara, which invests in family SMEs with EBITDA between one million and three million euros.

With this acquisition, Carpathia aims to help the brand move to the next level of size, strengthening the business and slowly growing the chain, always maintaining the focus on product quality, innovation and customer service.

The operation has combined the purchase and sale of shares with the injection of capital by Carpathia, while Anna Bellsolà retains a relevant shareholding position.
