CS Corporate Advisors has advised Fragdis on the acquisition of assets from Economy Cash.

The Tarragona supermarket chain Fragdis has reached an agreement to acquire more than half of the Kuups Design International stores, which operate under the Economy Cash brand. Kuups is part of the same business group as the Valencian canning company Nudisco.

The company, based in La Canonja (Tarragonès) and owned by the Fraga family, operates under the Spar and Eurospar brands. strong>Fragdis will thus have a network of 218 stores, a surface area of ​​280,000 square metres and a workforce of 2,900 people. In addition to strengthening its position in the Valencian market, it is making its debut with this operation in Murcia and Albacete.

The transaction, the price of which has not been disclosed, represents a further step in the growth strategy undertaken years ago by Fragdis in the Mediterranean area. In 2018, it bought the Alicante company Sucesores de Pedro Soriano Buforn (SPSB) and integrated 57 stores in the Valencian Community into its network.

Fragdis quadrupled its net profit last year, reaching 16.8 million euros.
