CS Corporate has advised the supermarket chain Fragadís on the acquisition of supermarkets from the distribution group Miquel Alimentació in the provinces of Tarragona, Castellon and Barcelona. The transaction included 57 supermarkets under the brand ‘Suma’, mainly located in the province of Tarragona.

Fragadís is the exclusive licensee of ‘Spar’ brand in Tarragona and Castellón, currently owning a total of 139 supermarkets. With this transaction FRAGADIS reinforces its presence in these areas.

Miquel Alimentació has around 500 franchise supermarkets under the brands ‘Spar’ and ‘Suma’. With this transaction Miquel Group continues with its strategic plan for the next five years, focussing on the business lines of ‘Cash & Carry’, franchises, wholesaler, import, export and ‘Food Service’ for the retail industry.
