CS Corporate Advisors has advised Fragadis in the acquisition process of Group Sucesores de Pedro Soriano Buforn.

Fragadís, founded in 1959 and based in La Canonja (Tarragonés), is a retail distribution group that operates under the brands Spar, Eurospar and Fragadís. Associated with Euromadi purchasing center, it has a network of 140 supermarkets located mainly in the province of Tarragona, Barcelona and Castellón

In 2017, Fragadís registered sales of 170 million euros, which represented an increase of 8% compared to 2016, where it obtained sales of 157 million and a profit of 4,8 million euros.

With this acquisition, the annualized figures for Fragadís will represent approximately 270 million euros, with over 200 supermarket stores.

Successors of Pedro Soriano Buforn (SPBS), based in La Vila Joiosa (Alicante), is an independent chain of supermarkets that operates 56 establishments under the Masymas brand, 4 wholesale supermarkets under the Eurocash banner and a franchise line of proximity stores under the brand Tandy. The establishments are distributed between the provinces of Valencia and Alicante.

SPBS posts sales of more than 90 million euros, with a workforce around 600 workers.

The acquisition of SPBS is part of Fragadís‘ growth strategy in neighboring geographical areas, which is usually carried out with the purchase of already established distribution chains.
